Total Education Solutions is hosting social skills training sessions this fall for children of all ages. A wide range of teaching strategies will be used to facilitate skill development,
including role play, video modeling, and interactive games. Sessions will be two hours long and will focus on:
- Nonverbal and verbal communication
- Discriminating / labeling emotions
- Reciprocal social interactions
- Perspective taking
- Problem solving
- Conflict / anger behavioral management
- Establishing and maintaining appropriate
boundaries with peers and staff
- Developing and maintaining friendships

Social skills training sessions will be led by a qualified behaviorist educator. This small,
structured, skill based instruction will follow detailed lesson plans while collecting data to
ensure progress. Children will be placed with peers who are of similar age and ability in
order to promote successful learning involving social interaction and understanding.
We offer a seamless approach, including the schools, parents, and siblings, as appropriate.
Cost
There are discounts available for the first families who sign up as well as families that have multiple children in our classes. Rates vary depending on group size and service. Please call for rates.
